Why Only “Results” Can Change Minds – The Influence of a Doctor’s Words

🏥 Why Only “Results” Can Change Minds – The Influence of a Doctor’s Words

When people feel unwell, they go to the hospital seeking the “right answer.”
The words spoken in the consultation room, the prescribed medicine, the diagnosis received—
To most patients, these are accepted as the truth of medicine.

Especially in Japan, a doctor’s words carry near-absolute authority.

💬 “If the doctor said so…” — The beginning of fixed beliefs

“This looks like orthostatic dysregulation.”
“Let’s start with some medication and see how it goes.”

When patients or their families hear things like this, they rarely question it.
Even if symptoms don’t improve, they think,
“Well, maybe that’s just how this illness is.”

Even when something feels off,
they silence their own instincts because ‘the expert said so.’

🧠 What if the diagnosis was wrong?

In clinical practice, I’ve seen many cases where I thought,
“This diagnosis doesn’t seem right.”

Often, the true cause lies elsewhere.
The prescribed treatment is completely off-target.
But because the first diagnosis is accepted as “correct,”
the mistake goes uncorrected and untreated.

🧪 That’s why I believe in proving it through results

Once a patient—or their parents—has placed their trust in a doctor’s diagnosis,
they won’t easily accept another perspective.

That’s why I focus on delivering tangible results:

  • Feeling better physically
  • Being able to get up in the morning
  • Returning to school
  • Showing a brighter expression

Only through these visible changes can people begin to think:
“Maybe that initial diagnosis wasn’t quite right after all.”

👪 Parents, too, are bound by the doctor’s words

When a child shows signs of illness, a parent does the right thing and takes them to a hospital.
Once they’ve received a diagnosis and treatment plan,
they feel they’ve done their duty.

So even when another approach is offered, it’s easy to fall back on,
“But the doctor said this…”

It’s not about blame.
It’s simply that the word “diagnosis” is so powerful, it overrides doubt.

🔁 Results are everything—and I will continue to prove it

I’m not here to criticize others.
I just want people to know that there are other ways to get better.

That’s why I keep proving what I do with results:

  • A child who didn’t improve with medication gets better after a few adjustments
  • “Unexplained pain” improves after proper physical care

These changes give people a real chance at reclaiming their lives.

🌍 To go beyond the limits of medicine, we must shift the focus from “who’s right” to “what works”

It’s not about proving who is correct.
It’s about how to help someone recover.

That’s the perspective I hope more people will embrace.
And with that in mind, I will continue doing what I do—one patient at a time.
