Support for School Refusal: Helping Children with Neck-Centered Therapy
At our clinic, which specializes in neck-centered chiropractic care, we often treat children who are unable to attend school due to symptoms such as orthostatic dysregulation, anxiety, and difficulty waking up in the morning.
When a child begins to show signs like, “I can’t wake up lately,” or “I feel anxious and restless,” early intervention dramatically increases the chances of improvement. Unfortunately, awareness of these symptoms and their significance is still very limited.
Without timely care, these conditions can progress into panic disorder, depression, or other autonomic nervous system dysfunctions. That’s why we are committed to acting early and supporting children’s futures through our practice and community outreach.
Volunteer Activities to Support Children
- Giving lectures for school refusal support groups
- Discussions with local government offices
- Educational lectures and preventive exercises at elementary schools
- Presentations at volunteer organization meetings
Recently, our efforts were recognized, and we received an invitation to appear on television. We were featured for our work supporting children struggling with school refusal.
We had the honor of hosting Mr. Date from the famous Japanese comedy duo, Sandwichman. As a long-time fan, I was quite nervous, but the experience turned out to be incredibly meaningful. I even had the opportunity to perform neck therapy on Mr. Date himself.
We will continue our mission to raise awareness that early detection and support are crucial to a child’s long-term mental and physical well-being. The more this information spreads, the more futures we can help brighten.
