Why Collaborative Research Is Essential — and the Areas Where We Need Your Help
At Relaxspace Refine, we are committed to reducing the number of people suffering from mental health disorders and hypothyroidism worldwide. However, we recognize that this mission cannot be accomplished by our clinic alone. Collaboration with government agencies, universities, and public hospitals is essential to share scientific evidence and scale up effective treatments. This article outlines the clinical realities we observe and the specific areas where we seek collaboration.
Clinical Realities We Encounter
Patients commonly present with symptoms such as:
- Low mood / Lack of motivation
- Inability to concentrate
- Anxiety and panic attacks
- Difficulty waking up in the morning
- Chronic fatigue
These symptoms are well-documented in Western medicine and are also explained in chiropractic theory as resulting from nerve compression in the C4 to T3 vertebral region. Clinically, we frequently observe the following physical findings in these patients, and adjusting this area often results in rapid improvements and social reintegration within a few days:
- Reduced joint mobility (stiffness or tenderness)
- Localized muscle tension
- Chronic swelling (slight edema)
- Forward head posture due to structural habit around C7–T1
Filling the Current Research Gap
Because the treatment target area overlaps for both hypothyroidism and sympathetic nerve dysfunction, we cannot currently determine whether clinical improvements are due to:
- Thyroid hormone normalization
- Sympathetic nerve recovery
or a combination of both. Since our clinic does not have blood testing capabilities, we need partnerships with medical institutions to scientifically clarify these correlations.
What We Can Offer / What We Need From You
Our Contributions | Collaboration We Seek |
---|---|
Clinical data (over 3,000 cases annually) | Multisite patient registries |
Safe, non-invasive care using activator instrument only | Access to blood testing (TSH, T3, T4, etc.) and HRV |
Japanese-language case reports | Joint publication of English-language research |
Local public health awareness activities | Collaborative grant acquisition and field implementation |
Note: Non-invasive means that our treatment does not involve incisions, injections, or any physical harm to the body. All care is performed externally using safe, gentle instruments.
Now Is the Time to Act
- Global increase in patient numbers: Japan’s medical facilities are overwhelmed, with most treatments relying solely on medication.
- Early intervention leads to easier recovery: Patients in early stages often show quick improvement with minimal sessions.
- Simple equipment: Our clinic uses only the activator, making it highly scalable and safe to implement in various settings.
Joint Research Proposal
We propose a collaborative clinical protocol with the Malaysian Ministry of Health (MENTARI) and other international institutions:
- Screening: Postural and spinal assessment + thyroid blood tests
- Treatment: Activator-based spinal adjustment (approx. 30 minutes)
- Evaluation: Compare mental state, blood hormone levels (TSH/T3/T4), and HRV before and after treatment
- Dissemination: Publish findings jointly and share outcomes internationally
“Early detection is the key to saving lives.”
Let us raise this simple truth to the level of global public health standards.
Message to Pharmaceutical Companies
We are not opposed to medication. Rather, we believe that offering a path to recovery before medication becomes necessary will benefit both patients and healthcare systems. Increasing the number of patients who can recover early helps reduce long-term costs and avoid side effects.
